James D. Walker has been the Managing Director of VATAmerica, LP since its founding in 1993 and of CB VATAmerica LLC since its founding in 2006.
Prior to establishing VATAmerica, Jim spent 13 years in the tax practice of Ernst & Young LLP, eight of those as a partner. He served as a Director of Tax in the firm's New Jersey practice. His broad knowledge of taxes is what led him to establish VATAmerica, recognizing that a significant tax need of American businesses was not being addressed adequately by US tax advisors.
Jim is a member of various professional organizations and is a frequent lecturer before international chambers of commerce and other trade organizations on subjects related to VAT. His articles discussing VAT have appeared in various professional and other publications.
He is a CPA and a lawyer and holds a BS from Gannon University and a JD from Catholic University School of Law.
Donald E. Aronson is the Senior Director of CB VATAmerica and is based in New York City.
Prior to joining VATAmerica in 1993, Don spent over 30 years with Ernst & Young LLP, most of those in the tax practice. He was also an Office Managing Partner and the firm's National Director of Marketing. In addition to tax services, Don's client responsibilities also included the coordination of accounting, auditing and consulting services. This background adds considerably to VATAmerica's unique ability to uncover VAT refund potential for its clients.
Don is a member of various professional organizations and has lectured around the country on subjects related to tax and marketing. He has also taught at Columbia University Graduate School of Business and was a member of the tax faculty at New York University Stern School of Business.
Don is a CPA and holds an AB from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
