CB VATAmerica’s predecessor firm, VATAmerica, LP, was formed in 1993 as a limited partnership in New Jersey by the company’s founder and Managing Director.

There are five individual investor-limited partners, and substantially all of the stock of the corporate general partner is owned by the Managing Director and his family.

In February, 2006, CB VATAmerica became the US Member Firm of United Cash Back AG (“UCB”). UCB began business in 1993 and consists of over 25 staffed offices throughout the EU, eastern Europe, and Middle East. UCB offices are headed by lawyers, accountants and business professionals with substantial experience in VAT refund and other tax recovery mechanisms within their countries.

Our purpose then, and now, is to eliminate foreign consumption, or value added, tax as a competitive burden to US and other companies by utilizing existing provisions of foreign tax law.

We combine substantial experience in conducting professional tax engagements with a sound working knowledge of corporate information and accounting platforms and the relevant VAT law governing refundability of VAT.
