Relationships CB VATAmerica is proud of our relationships with several of the leading suppliers and vendors to the aviation industry. These relationships allow us to obtain client VAT invoicing automatically, thus reducing administrative effort and improving the performance of our clients’ VAT and other indirect tax recoveries substantially. Our partners recognize the benefits of helping their customers reduce their European operating costs through our VAT refund program. Universal Weather & Aviation, Houston, Texas, a leading provider of international flight support services to corporate aviation since 1959, and CB VATAmerica teamed up in 1997 to create the world’s first comprehensive VAT recovery opportunity for aircraft operators. We can arrange for Universal Weather’s VAT invoices for all “open” periods to be forwarded directly to CB VATAmerica, with copies of these invoices attached to your normal billings. Beginning in 2009, we are also proud to announce a new relationship between CB VATAmerica and World Fuel Services, Miami, the world’s largest supplier of jet fuel to general aviation. WFS maintains VAT registrations in nearly all EU countries plus Norway and Switzerland. For our mutual customers, WFS VAT invoicing is copied electronically to CB VATAmerica where it is printed, recorded in inventory and then processed for VAT refund. This facility has increased client refund volumes substantially. WFS will even generate correct VAT invoicing for any “open” refund periods prior to the date of our engagement. ![]() Jeppesen Dataplan, San Jose, has arranged with several European vendors to produce correct VAT invoicing for Jepp customers that can be forwarded regularly for inclusion in CB VATAmerica’s clients’ VAT refund claims. The value of Jepp’s efforts increases as more of its vendors agree to become “VAT-friendly”. ![]() As the rebiller to US customers of charges to the AirBP card, Epic Aviation, Salem, Oregon, provides data quarterly to CB VATAmerica on VAT and other indirect tax charges in selected EU countries. Working with the local European BP affiliates, CB VATAmerica then arranges for credits and exemptions from VAT for our mutual customers. Clients receive tax credits back from the European BP companies through their next monthly Epic statement. |
